What are cookies?
A cookie is a small file stored on the user’s device with information about browsing.
The user is informed that this website uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information when browsing. In general, these technologies may serve very diverse purposes, such as recognising you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits, customising the way content is displayed, the user’s browsing language, country, login, browser characteristics, or even information about the date and time of the last visit, website traffic parameters and the number of visits.
The specific uses we make of these technologies are described in the cookie table contained in this policy.
What types of cookies exist?
According to their purpose:
- Technical: These are necessary for browsing and the proper functioning of the website. They allow, for example, traffic and data communication control, access to restricted-access areas, carrying out a purchase process, using security elements, etc. These cookies do not require the user’s consent for installation, as established in the Cookie Guide of the Spanish Data Protection Agency and current regulations.
- Personalisation: These allow access to the service with predefined characteristics based on a series of criteria, such as language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional configuration from where the service is accessed, etc. These cookies do not require the user’s consent for installation, as established in the Cookie Guide of the Spanish Data Protection Agency and current regulations.
- Analytics: These allow the number of users to be quantified in order to carry out statistical measurement and analysis of how users use the service offered. To do so, the user’s browsing on the website is analysed in order to improve the offer of products or services.
- Behavioural advertising: These store information on user behaviour obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, which makes it possible to develop a specific profile to display advertising based on it.
- Advertising: These cookies allow the management of advertising spaces included on this website, such as the frequency with which ads are displayed.
According to the period of time they remain active:
- Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in the browser’s cookie file until the website is left, so none are recorded in the device memory. The information obtained through these cookies is used to analyse website traffic patterns. In the long run, this allows us to provide a better experience to improve content and facilitate its use. You can identify session cookies in the table included in this policy, under the title “At the end of the browsing session”.
- Persistent cookies: These are stored on the device and the website reads them each time a new visit is made. A permanent cookie has a specific expiry date, which may vary depending on the functionality for which it has been assigned. The cookie will stop working after that date. You can view information regarding the duration of persistent cookies in the table included in this policy.
According to who manages them:
- First-party cookies: These are cookies stored on the user’s device by our equipment or domains and from which the website service is provided.
- Third-party cookies: These are cookies stored on users’ devices and not managed by ASSISTCARGO, but by a collaborating third party. By way of example, these are cookies used by social networks, video viewing services or information provided by Google Maps to locate us.
Please note that, if you accept third-party cookies, you must delete them from the browser options or from the system offered by the third party itself.
Who uses the information stored in Cookies?
ASSISTCARGO uses the information stored in the cookies on this website exclusively for ourselves, except for those cookies identified below as managed by “Third Parties”, which are used and managed by external entities to provide us with services requested by us, in order to help us improve our services, as well as the user experience when using our website.
